- Continuously flatten and rub on the surface of the wool fiber in a circular motion to get rid of the bubbles.
- Flip the screen, pour another batch of warm soapy water, and flatten it with a continuous rubbing.
- Continue rubbing until it can hold its shape like clay.
- Transfer the wet felt over a hat mold and continuously rub on it until it takes the shape of the cast. You can pour warm soapy water to quickly reshape it.
- Rinse the felt with water.
- Apply steam in reshaping your felt over the mold and beat the brim with a mallet while intermittently rolling it with a roller to get that rounded brim. Use a steam iron to shape its crown.
- Remove from the hat shaper and let it dry.
- Choose your ribbon and sew it into the hat.
